Junior doctors will stop providing emergency cover for the fist time in the history of the NHS as part of an all-out strike on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt urged medics not to withdraw emergency care, saying that it would create "particular risks for A&E, maternity and intensive care units".
