Horrible footage has emerged from China of a 16-year-old girl being hit by two separate cars after she tried to run across the zebra crossing.

The video, captured in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province on March 19, shows the girl trying to cross the road but two of the far lanes still have moving traffic on them.

She ends up getting hit by one car, then another runs her over.

According to local reports, the girl was badly injured but the emergency services got her to hospital in time and she is recovering.
