Rajouri (J&K), Apr 20 (ANI): India has a rich culture and diversity, with people from different religions having their own customs and faiths. It has given birth to an ethos, where people come together and pray in harmony. One such example comes from Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir where people of different religions come to seek the blessings of Sufi saint Lal Din at his shrine. The death anniversary or 'Urs' of the saint is celebrated with utmost zeal. People here believe that Saint Lal Din is the pride of this place. They come together for his Urs every year at his shrine. People come here not just from nearby places but also from far flung districts. After a lecture by the head cleric, community meal is served for people of all faiths, be it children, adults or elderly people of the society from all walks of life. Eating together on one plate without any discrimination stimulates the atmosphere. The positivity of togetherness flows all around Jammu & Kashmir. Urs of Lal Din signifies that people here have still kept alive the spirit of seamless co existence that exists in the region.
