Goblin Sharks are scientifically known as Mitsukurina owstoni. Does it sound a bit Japanese to you ? It is because it was first discovered in Japan. Actually, it can mainly be seen near the seas of Japan and China.

The shark looks so scary that anybody will be afraid to go near a living specimen. They are from very old time. For over 125 million years they have not changed a bit. Probably because of living a goblin's life in the dark abysses of the oceans where the new of change of the world has not reached yet. May be that is why they look so menacing.

The most satanic thing about them is their flying jaws which can come out of the mouth to bite the terrorized fish. It is horrifying.

How dangerous they are for us is not certain. It is because they never comes contact with humans. There place of habitation is far away from the normal places on the ocean where humans tend to go.
