Mehsana (Gujarat), Apr 18 (ANI): Curfew imposed in Mehsana town of Gujarat, after the Patidar community protest, was lifted on Monday. Mobile and internet services were also restored in Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Surat and Rajkot. Patidar pro-reservation campaigners clashed with police, demanding jailed leader Hardik Patel's release yesteday. Gandhinagar Inspector General Manoj Shashidhar said that few people tried to disturb peace but they failed because of high security arrangements. As a mark of protest 27 year old Bhavin Mansukh Khunt of Surat allegedly committed suicide by poisoning himself. Security has been tightened thereafter in Surat.
