Chinese New Year 2015: Year of the Sheep.
The Beijing Red Poppy Ladies Percussion group is China’s top female percussion band and was founded in 2000. They have performed over 2500 shows around the world in over 30 countries, including venues such as Sydney Opera House, Cairo Opera House and the Kennedy Art Centre. In 2004, the Red Poppy group was awarded the “World Peace Award” at the World Culture Open (WCO) in South Korea. In 2008, the group choreographed the drum sequence at the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and performed at the Closing Ceremony of the Games.On 22 February 2015 they performed in London's Chinese New Year Festival in Trafalgar Square.
