Agreement to turn major Indian ports into'green ports' signed

Mumbai, Apr 15 (ANI): The Union Shipping Ministry on Friday signed agreements to turn the major ports, including the Kandla port trust, into'green ports' in presence of Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari. The agreement costing Rs 78 crore also involves generation of wind power to meet the power requirement of Kandla port. The power generation is part of the larger plan of the Shipping Ministry to have clean and green ports.
