Trivandrum, Apr 14 (ANI): People in Trivandrum celebrated the Vishu festival on Thursday. Keralites all over the world celebrate this festival of lights and fireworks and give money to their younger ones as a part of the tradition. While some believe that demon ‘Narakasura’ was killed by Lord Krishna on Vishu, others relate the festival to the killing of ‘Ravana’, the demon king, and is said to be the day from which ‘Surya dev’ began to rise from the East.
