Hubli (Karnataka), Apr 13 (ANI): In a rare instance, people in the Veervalli village of Dharwad district of Karnataka throw burning embers at each other as a part of Ugadi festival celebrations. People were seen throwing burning coals at each other outside the Kamleshwar temple in the village and also walked on the smoldering charcoal to commemorate the festival of Ugadi. Surprisingly, none of the people sustained any kind of injuries. Devotees said the raining ashes seemed like the lord's blessings on the festival of Ugadi. People of all ages take part in this bizarre festivity.
