Polling underway for part 2 of first phase in West Bengal

Assam/WB, Apr 11 (ANI): The second phase of crucial assembly polls in West Bengal is being held today. 31 constituencies in West Bengal are going for polls. Voters were seen queuing up in long lines from the wee hours, showing their eagerness to cast their votes in the state. Monday's phase 1-B polling will be held in 13 constituencies of Paschim Medinipur, 9 of Burdwan and 9 in Bankura district. A total of 163 candidates, including 21 women, are contesting in 31 seats of West Midnapore, Bankura and Burdwan districts. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in the states to ensure peaceful polling.
