South India faces acute water shortage, residents lash out at government

Bengaluru, Apr 10 (ANI): Residents of Karnataka lashed out at political leaders for their alleged apathy towards acute water shortage in the province. Karnataka is facing a severe water crisis. Taps and borewells have dried up and residents have to travel several kilometers in search of potable water. Locals have complained that politicians are nowhere to be seen now in spite of frequently visiting the area during election time. Many parts of India are witnessing drought conditions in view of deficient monsoons over the last few years.
