Bill Clinton takes on Black Lives Matter protesters during a rally for Hillary Clinton’s campaign on Thursday. In reference to criminal gang leaders, Clinton says protesters ‘are defending the people who kill the lives you say matter’. The former president spent more than 10 minutes facing down the protesters at the event in Philadelphia. The verbal altercation centred over criticisms that a 1994 crime bill he approved led to a surge in the imprisonment of black people.
