Chennai, Apr 06 (ANI): School was never a priority for children who use to spent their at a construction site helping their parents in Coimbatore. A total of 183 such children, mostly in the 9-15 age group, are being brought to the mainstream by the Montford Community Development Society (MCDS) as part of the National Child Labour Projects. Coordinator of MCDS Greeto Racharia said transit classes are conducted for these students over a period of 11 months at corporation schools before the shift. It began as a school project, became a citywide campaign, and is now a national social media campaign aimed at getting communities to address child labour in India.
