Calling all ice cream and cheese lovers!
two recent studies suggest eating full-fat dairy foods instead of low-fat or non-fat may help cut the risk for diabetes and obesity.
Tufts researchers report people who consumed full-fat dairy products had up to 46 percent lower risk of developing diabetes over the course of the 15-year study.
A second study of more than 18,000 middle-age women of normal weight, free of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes at the start - found those who ate more high-fat dairy had an eight percent lower chance of becoming obese.
However, don’t toss out your low-fat yogurt just yet - the research is still very early.
