The European Space Agency just released a masterfully backlit image of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.

The European Space Agency just released a remarkable image of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. 
The image taken on March 27 shows the comet at a distance of just over 204 miles away from Rosetta. 
The spacecraft had been on a mission to study the comet's coma, tail and plasma environment when the picture was taken. 
According to the space agency, "In this configuration, the nucleus appears backlit, with only a few portions of the illuminated surface visible from this view – in the upper and upper right part of the nucleus."
