Karbi Anglong (Assam), Apr 03 (ANI): The political party that comes out with an effective strategy to control attacks by elephants in the hinterland of Assam will decide government formation in the state, say villagers in East Karbi Anglong district. Wildlife experts said the destruction of habitats in the country is one of the main reasons for the increase in encounters between wild animals and villagers. Villagers also complained of lack of proper water and erratic supply of electricity. They vowed to vote for the party which would promise to solve the problems they face. Assam goes to polls on April 4 and 11.Votes will be counted on May 19. Frequent attacks by elephants may cost the fortunes of several candidates in poll-bound Assam.
