Gran Turismo 6 gameplay - the first race of the International A Rainmasters series at Spa Francorchamps.

This one was a lot easier than I was anticipating and I had it down in one take. I drove the Mercedes SLS AMG for no other reason than the fact that it is not a commonly seen vehicle in the game. I tuned it a little but it had plenty of power for the race, even against some pretty quick cars.

The biggest problem I faced was visibility - racing in first person view is not at all easy in these wet races as the spray often makes it impossible to judge what is going on ahead of you at all and you are frequently driving almost blind. Throw in the drastically reduced grip levels and it can get pretty "exciting".

The car was running intermediate racing tyres (I know the menus showed that they were changed to racing hard but that's just what the game does until the race launches as a wet race) and these seem to be the best option for the conditions in all three of the Rainmaster series races.

The next race takes place at Circuit De La Sarthe, or Le Mans if you prefer, and it certainly proves to be not very easy at all! Watch this space for the upcoming video.
