Project Cars Career gameplay. Round 3 of the GT4 Asia Pacific Trophy at Bathurst (Mount Panorama).
Not a great qualifying but 15th on the grid was better than in previous rounds and the sessions were plagued with rain showers so I felt reasonably happy with where I was.
I wasn't here racing for the championship or even a points placing really but I was still convinced that the GT-86 Rocket Bunny should be more competitive than it had been thus far. I had definitely made some improvements to the setup but also knew it could be better.
This is the sprint race, nine laps with a rolling start. The weather stays dry for this one and although my lap times in the 2m 30s range were 4 or 5 seconds off where they needed to be, I managed to run fairly consistently throughout the race which was certainly a positive sign along with the fact that I was able to hold my own and actually race amidst the tail end of the field.
The car's straight line speed was better too which was a relief as although I set my gear ratios to cope with the two long straights I was concerned that I would be at a big disadvantage. Thankfully this wasn't the case. You will probably notice where I was slowest - the descent from the mountain and the final chicane where I just could not push the car nearly as hard as I needed to.
I won't add any spoilers but I hope you'll enjoy the racing which was actually pretty good so I hope it makes for a good video.
