Here's a great location to find and farm for screws and fuel, just head to the top of the Dam, loads of cars, and not many zombies around so makes for easy pickings, if you wait an hour to an hour and a half then come back it should re-stock for you, just make sure you put some distance between you and the Dam first. Though I haven't had to worry about that so far I can pick up enough here for a few days gameplay before coming back. I hope it helps and please share your best locations here too :)
