Whats up Little Monsters, thanks for checking back in with Clevver Music for all your music updates! Friends: Mother Monster is back. It was announced just a couple hours ago via MTVs Instagram that Gaga will perform her new "ARTPOP" single at the 2013 Video Music Awards. MTV News Sway announced the update from the Brooklyn Promenade in an Instagram video saying, "Whos gonna perform live at the Barclays Center at the VMAs August 25th? Yall ready? LADY GAGA!" Lady Gagas Twitter account is still temporarily shut down but she managed to retweet a fan who retweeted MTV and said "F*** yea!" So what can we expect from the performance? Well, it was unveiled by Tara Savelo that "Applause" is the first ARTPOP single and we saw on Wikipedia a rumor Gagas performance will be closing the VMAs, however, that is not confirmed. According to Uber Facts on Twitter, Gagas manager Troy Carter told fans that at the VMAs we can expect to see the rise of the phoenix. Only Little Monsters really know what that means as they are the leaders in all Gaga theories. All we know is that this is going to be spectacular. Lady Gaga already has 13 Moonmen and a long history with the VMAs and this will surely continue her VMA legacy after being noticeably absent at the show last year. Lets recap Gagas VMA appearances: in 2009 she bled during her iconic "Paparazzi" show, in 2010 she accepted "Video of the Year" wearing her infamous meat dress, 2011 Gaga performed "You and I" as alter ego Jo Calderone and in 2012 we cried because she wasnt there.
