Mumbai, Mar 22 (ANI): A police complaint was registered by the Mumbai civic body after it suspected sabotage in the massive fire at the Deonar dumping ground. A massive fire broke out at the dumping ground, spread over 132 hectares and having at least 12 million tons of garbage, on Sunday (March 20) night. The garbage includes plastic bags, electronic items and materials which are non-biodegradable and cause pollution. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Ajoy Mehta told reporters that foul play was suspected behind the incident. The cause of the fire, which continues to rage on, has not been ascertained yet. This is the second time that a massive fire broke out in less than two months at Deonar in the eastern suburbs of the city.
