Footage has emerged from China of a woman who put super glue in her eye after getting her eye drops mixed up.

The video, captured in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province last Thursday, shows the woman's right eye glued together. A doctor can then be seen using tweezers to separate her eyelashes and clean the glue off them.

According to local reports, Miss Wu was trying to put eye drops in but got the bottle mixed up with super glue because the bottles look the same.

Because she didn't want to cut her eyelashes, the doctor reportedly spent more than an hour separating them.

Fortunately, though, because she had contact lenses in, the glue didn't touch her eyeball directly.
