Kalabhavan Mani's family slammed the rumours regarding
the late actor's separation with his wife, Nimmi Mani. Mani's brother Ramakrishnan stated that his brother and sister-in-law were very much together. It was reported that Kalabhavan Mani and wife Nimmi were living separately since the last few years. Rumour mills also suggested that the couple remained married, for the sake of their only daughter Sri Lakshmi.
