Coney Island was always known for its classic wooden coasters, having built nine different ones starting with Dip The Dips in 1911, to the legendary Wildcat, up through Shooting Star, which closed in 1971 when Coney Island shut down its amusements & moved most of its rides to Kings Island. The park reopened in 1973, but didnt have a roller coaster until this D.P.V. Rides classic family coaster opened in 1999.\r
