AMU minority status: VC hopeful of 'positive action' by PM

New Delhi, March 05 (ANI): After meeting Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi on Saturday, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Vice-Chancellor Lieutenant General (retired) Zameer Uddin Shah said that the Prime Minister has assured them to look into the matter of the varsity's minority status. A delegation led by Shah and Director of Forum for Muslim Studies and Analysis Jasim Mohammad met the Prime Minister in wake of questions being raised on minority status being granted to the AMU.
