The Chinese regime has expelled the five South Korean journalists—detained on charges of espionage last week at the border of China and North Korea.\r

According to the Associated Press, a South Korean Foreign Ministry official said Thursday the three reporters and two researchers returned to South Korea last Sunday.\r

The journalists were held at a hotel for four days after Chinese authorities found them traveling on tourist visas.\r

Chinese authorities have previously expelled or jailed foreign journalists working without media visas.
