New York Citys most famous beachfront neighborhood, which is located in the borough of Brooklyn. For many generations, many residents from the 4 boroughs (and Staten Island) and tourists have flocked to Coney Island to ride the Cyclone roller coaster, eat at Nathans (and to watch its annual 4th of July Hot Dog eating contest), walk the famous boardwalk, ride Denos Wonder Wheel, or to watch minor league baseball at the new Keyspan Park. Coney Island was once the home of four amusement parks: Luna, Steeplechase, Astroland and Dreamland. It is accessible by many bus routes and four subway lines (the Coney Island subway station is the southernmost terminal of the New York City Subway System).
