Dramatic footage has emerged from China of a motor tricycle being knocked over by a car, allegedly after it ran a red light.

The video, filmed in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province last Tuesday, shows the three-wheeler cross the road, only to be smashed and knocked over by a white car.

The motor tricycle initially rolls onto its side before righting itself again and plowing into a stationary lorry.

According to local reports, the three vehicles were damaged to varying degrees and the motor tricycle driver's arm was broken.
