New Delhi, March 1 (ANI): Academy Award winning actor George Kennedy, who gained fame from films like 'Cool Hand Luke' and 'Naked Gun' passed away at the age of 91. According to a leading US website, Kennedy's grandson Cory Schenkel said the actor died on the morning of February 28. The grandson also revealed that his actor grandfather had been in failing health ever since his wife Joan had died a little over a year ago and had been under hospice care for the past month. Kennedy won Oscar for his portrayal of a savage chain-gang convict in the 1960s classic 'Cool Hand Luke,' starring Paul Newman in the lead role. George Kennedy last appeared in Mark Wahlberg’s 2014 film 'The Gambler.'
