I really loved the enthusiastic announcers and jokes in between the Powerhouse bumpers before & after commercial breaks, especially for ones like TOM & JERRY! \r

Now looking back at Tom & Jerry, it was one of my favorite classics to watch on Cartoon Network back in the day along with Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies as well. I watched many shorts on Cartoon Network and Boomerang throughout my childhood. Rather those were owned by MGM, Hanna-Barbera, or Chuck Jones from the 40s-60s. I didnt care I enjoyed all of them. \r

However, to me, Tom & Jerry doesnt really stand up anymore :/. To this day I can still watch Looney Tunes and get a laugh, because they had more cultural references in their jokes and more variety in characters, which is why Looney Tunes were always my favorite classic shorts on Cartoon Network.\r

My problem with Tom & Jerry is that after a while the show gets so repetitive and its eventually just Tom trying to catch Jerry while Tom just keeps getting tortured over and over again. As a kid it was fun rooting for Jerry watching him beat up Tom, but later on youll realize that Tom is just really an innocent cat and Jerry can really get on your DAMN NERVES I cant stand him! Jerry can be such an asshole at times. Sigh, and it just keeps getting repetitive over and over again, thats just me. I honestly prefer Looney Tunes all day everyday, it still never gets old to me. \r

Nonetheless here are some classic memories of Tom & Jerry when it was really fun to watch at the time on Cartoon Network.
