At least five members of the radical Islamist Hamas movement, which runs the Gaza Strip, were injured in a tunnel collapse Sunday night, as concern grows in Israel over the rebuilding of underground passageways that could be used for attacks.
According to the Palestinian Al-Quds site, medical sources reported that five men arrived at Gaza's Shifa Hospital for treatment in stable condition.
The men hurt in Sunday night's tunnel collapse belonged to the terror group's armed wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades.
Several tunnels running underneath the Gaza Strip collapsed in recent weeks due to a combination of bad weather and activities by the Egyptian and Israeli military to halt the ongoing underground construction.
