New Delhi/Shimla/Dharamsala, Feb 26 (ANI): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday questioned the Congress-led Government of Himachal Pradesh over its demand for shifting the India-Pakistan Twenty20 World Cup match to a venue outside the state. The much awaited match is to be played in Dharamsala on March 19. The state government has said that the match should either be scrapped or shifted to another venue in view of the recent militant attack in Pathankot. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Anurag Thakur said the state government should not play politics with sport. The attack on the air base in Pathankot, which was reportedly carried out by operatives of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant group, claimed the lives of seven security personnel. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh had on February 25 said that the state legislators were against the hosting of the match in Dharamsala.
