Moto GP 125 highlights from 2004.
Marco Simoncelli clinched his maiden Grand Prix victory in today's wet 125cc Spanish Grand Prix, a race that had been dominated by KTM's Casey Stoner. He hit a puddle and crashed with three laps remaining, despite holding a ten-second advantage over the young Italian, who had started from pole position. Simoncelli was joined on the podium by Jenkner, who was thrown out of the seat of his Aprilia early on and returned to the track only after running though a gravel trap, while Hector Barbera claimed third.
Stoner got fifth.
