The Sacramento Zoo has sadly announced the death of its 15-year-old female Sumatran tiger, Baha. 
On Wednesday, she was being introduced to a new mating partner, but within minutes of approach, the male, named Mohan, who arrived at the zoo in December 2015, attacked her.
Staff immediately intervened, using fire extinguishers and water from a hose to encourage the male to retreat.
