Dalit students threaten to commit suicide over ill-treatment

Motihari, Feb 03 (ANI): Nearly sixty Dalit students have threatened to follow the footsteps of Rohith Vemula and commit suicide in Mohithari district of Bihar. This come after the students were forced to leave their college and hostels in Bhubaneswar. The students complained of being ill-treated by the college staff and blamed the government for their state. The Dalit students studying in Bhubaneswar Engineering College were under the scholarship scheme for which the fooding and lodging expenses were paid by the Bihar government. Lately, no amount has been deposited in their account due to which the college authority has expelled them. The students have threatened to commit suicide if their plight continues.
