SC refers LGBT community petition to five-judge bench

New Delhi, Feb 2 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to hear the petition on Section 377. A bench of three judges, including Chief Justice of India T.S. Thakur, Justice Anil R. Dave and J.S. Khehar, referred the curative plea on homosexuality to a five-judge constitutional bench for further hearing. An NGO had filed a petition seeking removal of the ban on gay sex. Advocate Anand Grover, gave details of the decision and said that they are confident of winning the case.
