Chief Guest Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan destroyed narcotics at a ceremony on International Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking.

A huge quantity of narcotics and other brands of narcotics, which included heroin 404.763 kg, hashish 14668.113 kg, opium 5.677 kg and other (illicit liquor and other narcotics brands) such as 1.990 Kg of bhang, 119899 mainpuris/gutka, etc

The different agencies such as Sindh police, Pakistan Coast Guards, Sindh Excise and Taxation department, and other agencies had confiscated this huge quantity of narcotics.

In this regard, the ANF had held a ceremony on Thursday at Sakhi Hassan Shah Mazar, near Port Qasim, Karachi.

The event was organized by ANF under the auspices of Inter Agency Task Force (IATF). Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan was the chief guest of the event, who gave presidential address to the guests and media.

Dignitaries from all walks of life attended the function. Other special guests present on the occasion were Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Education Nisar Khohru, Vice Admiral Syed Arifullah Hussaini, HI (M), T Bt, Pakistan Rangers Sindh Director General Major General Bilal Akbar, Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar, SI (M), T Bt, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency Director general Brig. Ateeq Ur Rehman, Pakistan Coast Guards Director General, Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Administrator Sajjad Hussain Abbasi and representatives from various foreign countries were also present.
