Harrowing footage has been released of a hit-and-run collision that left a 53-year-old pedestrian with serious injuries on January 14.

CCTV footage shows a Fiat 500 speeding through a junction in Brighton’s Kemptown area and hitting the pedestrian, who is thrown over the vehicle’s roof and lands several meters away on the street.

The pedestrian is said to be recovering from injuries sustained in the collision.
