After being rumored for quite sometime, DC All Access has confirmed that actress Tao Okamoto is playing Mercy Graves in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The actress was personally selected by director Zack Snyder for the role after her appearance in The Wolverine. The Mercy Graves character is traditionally depicted as Lex Luthor’s bodyguard and assistant, though she has embodied a number of other roles including CEO of LexCorp and a costumed crime-fighter by the name of Vanilla. It is still not clear which character version Okamoto is playing. Tao Okamoto is best remembered for her role as Mariko in 2013's The Wolverine. She has also been playing an important role in Hannibal Season 3. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – also starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Jesse Eisenberg – will be in theaters on March 25th, 2016.
