Jammu and Kashmir, Jan 21 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JNKPP) on Thursday protested in Jammu, demanding fresh elections following the death of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Sayeed’s daughter and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti, who is expected to become the next Chief Minister, however, has not taken oath yet as she has not recovered from the loss of her father’s demise. The state is currently under Governor’s rule following Sayeed’s death. JKNPP chairman, Harsh Dev Singh, demanded dissolution of Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly without any delay to hold fresh elections to elect a new government. There has also been a lot of uncertainty regarding the continuation of BJP-PDP alliance in the state. Singh asserted that no party was ready to form the government.
