Last season, the Sabres and Coyotes were the NHL's two worst teams. Thanks to the additions of rookies Jack Eichel and Sam Reinhart in Buffalo and Max Domi and Anthony Duclair in Arizona, both squads have elevated themselves to respectability. But with respectability comes honor, and with honor comes the need to protect it. That was the case last night, when, after the game ended with a Sabres' 2-1 victory, Buffalo's Rasmus Ristolainen and Arizona's Oliver Ekman-Larsson got into a shoving match that turned into an epic brawl.
