A popular bull elk named "Hollywood" was brutally poached over the weekend of January 16th from a wildlife preserve in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
A well-known bull elk was illegally killed at the J.T. Nickel Family Nature and Wildlife Preserve in Oklahoma over the weekend of January 16th.
The eight and half year old animal was known to rest by the side of the road and greet visitors at the wildlife refuge owned by The Nature Conservancy.
Director Jeremy Tubbs, noted, “It was not uncommon to see ‘Hollywood’ on a daily basis. He was not just any elk, he was an elk that people looked for when visiting the preserve. He was commonly photographed by visitors, earning him the nickname Hollywood.”
