A fire broke out on a tourist ship off the coast of Whakatane on New Zealand’s North Island on Monday, January 18. Local media reported some passengers jumping into the water from the burning 75-foot vessel, which is reported to belong to Whakatane-based White Island Tours. Three people were sent to Whakatane Hospital.
