Aamir Khan celebrated the festival of Kites Makar Sakranti on sets of Dangal. He celebrated Lohri and Makar Sakranti with the cast and crew of Dangal and flew kites along with the locals.

Aamir Khan has been living in Ludhiana from quite some time to shoot for the film Dangal. Away from his family Aamir Khan celebrated the regional festival of Punjab Lohri as well as Makar Sakranti with the locals from Ludhiana village.

Nitish Tiwari director of the film said that atmoshphere was great as local boys bought in lot of sweets. Aamir Khan too expressed that he loves Kite flying and it is his childhood passion and he loves hearing Kai po che.

Though shooting is continued but cast and crew celebrated the festivals and enjoyed a lot. Dangal is a film based on Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Phogat who trained his daughters in sports of wrestling.
