Amusing footage has emerged from China of a sleeping drunk man lying on a second-floor balcony, while police try to rescue him from his predicament.

In the video, filmed in Suzhou, Anhui Province in December last year, the middle-aged man can be seen fast asleep on the canopy.

According to local reports, the man drunk a lot on that day.
