Five years ago, Samuel L Jackson was anointed America's "highest-grossing" actor by The Guinness Book of World Records: the man whose films had cumulatively made more money in the US than anyone else's.
But now one of the original stars of the franchise has overtaken Jackson.
Thanks to the colossal success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which has grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, Harrison Ford is the new king of the box office.
According to Box Office Mojo, which maintains a constantly updated list of grosses, movies starring Ford have made $4.7 billion, compared to Jackson's $4.6 billion.
