A US man has posted video of the hair-raising moment he almost died after losing control of his car and driving off a cliff.

The unnamed man was speeding through a dark tunnel on the Angeles Crest Highway outside of LA when he was faced with an unexpected curve.

The car slides on the asphalt before crashing over the edge of the road, flipping over as the driver gasps "Oh no!"

"One year ago, today, I almost died," the driver wrote as he posted the video
