Workers construct a gigantic golden statue of Chairman Mao in Kaifeng, in the Henan province of central China on Tuesday. Reportedly built with £300,000 of funds raised by villagers, the ‘Mega Mao’ has now been torn down after sparking criticism and ridicule.
