FAIRFAX COUNTY, VIRGINIA — Kum Yeon, 56, of Alexandria, Virginia may have been electrocuted to death after making a sex tape. Fairfax County police traced the cell phone signal of Yeon, a woman described by the Washington Post as "endangered" to the home of a man in Annandale on December 21st, 2015.
Peering into a basement window, officers saw a horrific scene. A woman was lying naked on the floor next to a fully-dressed 73-year-old man who appeared to be wrapping an electrical cord around his wrists. As officers entered the basement the man was seen convulsing as electricity pulsed through his body.
Police found he man had used awls to jam a heavy-gauge electrical cord into a circuit breaker. The cable was then connected to his body. The man was also allegedly found handcuffed to the deceased woman lying naked on the floor.
Cops stopped the power in time to save the man's life, however he's currently in critical condition. Yeon was pronounced dead at the scene. The man has not been identified by police, but authorities say he is a suspect in the death of Yeon.
Investigators also discovered a DVD that appears to show the couple having sex earlier that same day, as well as a note in which the man indicates he is planning a murder-suicide. Police are searching for a motive and say they will charge the unnamed male suspect should he survive.
Meanwhile, little is known about the victim other than her name and age, place of residence and that she was of Korean ethnicity.
