A pro- Kurdish rally in Istanbul has ended with multiple arrests. Protesters gathered to vent their anger over the government's actions in the south-east, which is a predominantly Kurdish region.
Human rights groups claim more than 100 civilians have been killed during the campaign while Turkey calls it an 'anti-terror operation', and has deployed ten-thousand troops backed by military hardware and helicopters.
